Intimacy Direction

Let's Get Intimate!

Linking body attunement to a confidence in advocating for your needs is a gift I hope to imbue upon all that I work with as an Intimacy Director.

I strive to enhance the compassion, care, and closeness of a story while devising intimacy alongside my fellow theatre artists as sincerely, warmly, and (perhaps) chaotically as I can.

Artist Statement

I am a queer white woman with a background rooted in dance, music, and acting. Having lived in the Southwest, East Coast, Pacific Northwest, and Midwest states, I know the importance of embracing the swirling magic that is peoples' shared and differed backgrounds. Seeing the beauty in our variety  is what makes collaborative art forms so visceral. I strive to make individuals feel seen and know that I will be right alongside them as we sift through the task at hand.

As an Intimacy Director I bring care, warmth, and fun to intimate work. I offer tools that allow both actors, and the production team, to check in with themselves and advocate for their needs. My dream is that the  impact of intimacy practices, will sprinkle a culture of  consent, respected boundaries,  and self-advocacy beyond the rehearsal walls.
